#118 of 365~4th of July in Buffalo

One of the things I love about going back to Buffalo, is making the drive through the "old neighborhood," seeing the "old house," and hearing stories of my Grandparents younger years, my aunt and uncles shenanigans, and the pride that comes from being from Buffalo.
Speaking of pride, my Aunt Donna took us to a park off the Buffalo River where good 'ol boys sang songs about "Irish Brown Eyes" and tunes from the 50's till now.  I was introduced to "taco in a bag" and met my Facebook pal-Beth. Even though it rained a bit, we stayed until the very end.
4th of July brought several family members and friends over to my cousins house.  We ate, talked, and watched the kids be free with the innocence we can only remember.  Several of us jumped into our cars to go get a good spot to watch the fireworks-their illegal in NY-so, it's not uncommon to see several hundreds lined up on the side of the road to watch the "big show."
My Independence Day ended with a 10 minute "Slumber Party" with Jayla.  I adore this kid so much and feel privileged to watch her grow.
