2011~Living a Year with Stronger Roots

Our New Year’s started on our knee’s remembering what God has done in 2010. To be honest, it was really hard to thank God for the past year, as it is one we both long to forget. We seemed to struggle almost from the very beginning. We were in a car crash that totaled our car on the first and caused an impromptu car shopping experience on the coldest day in January. This was followed by job uncertainties like lay-off’s and the promise of promotions that seemed impossible. We experienced family issues that rocked us to our core and left us relying more and more on God’s love.  We also began another year of struggling to understand God’s purpose and direction for our lives.
With that said, we go into the New Year with stronger roots like a tree who has faced a dry season and has had to firmly dig down deep for healing waters. We are believing for God’s promise on our lives to be revealed and that we will overcome the strongest storms by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.  We leave you with the following verse and the prayer that you to will go into this New Year feeling rooted with hope.

Isaiah 61:3 “To all who mourn Israel, He will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of despair. For the Lord has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for His own glory.”
