#194 of 365~Winter Garden Adventures

One of the great things about being a teacher, is getting two weeks off of school for holiday break.
I LOVE this opportunity to recharge, get my holiday stuff done, and go on adventures!  This such adventure took place with some of my favorite people at one of my favorite places.
Lauritzen Gardens poinsettia show, the new conservatory, and the Becker kids-Mom was present as well but tends to like being behind the camera rather than in front of it, makes for the perfect winter adventure.
The new indoor conservatory is a 17,500 square foot place which is a "walkable work of art for all four seasons. From tropical gardens with soaring palms and vibrant flowers to temperate gardens with moss-covered oak trees and blooming azaleas, to an ever-changing gallery space for magnificent floral displays."  It's beautiful and gets your mind away from the frigid temps for just a moment in time.
The next two pictures are some of my favorites of the day.  Little Miss Via and I have been good friends for over 6 years and if you are a continuing reader of this blog, I've written several posts about her and her family and our special times together.  This is a new set of pictures that represent the growth that both she and I have endured over the following years and how special friends make all the hard work worth it.
