#261 of 365~Clay Center Adventure

After a fun filled day of traveling and a family wedding, we decided that Sunday was meant for an adventure.  It was beautiful outside so, we decided to head to the Clay Center Park/Zoo. Unfortunately the zoo was closed, but we still saw a few animals and walked around.  Baby Love was a bit cranky and we couldn't figure out why because she LOVES to be outdoors.  Nick suggested we turn her around in the carrier-even though she's not old enough or weighs enough-but as soon as she was looking out, we didn't hear a peep from her the rest of the time.  Independent already!
I sure do love me a bearded man carrying a baby!
This park is very charming with it's stone walls and benches, tall trees and greenery.  I'm always intrigued to see this running water fountain and can't help but make up stories of the history that haunts this place.  One day I'll actually look up the history and it probably will be just as amusing!
Before we left Clay Center, we stopped at Nick's Uncles for lunch and a quick goodbye.  We are so blessed to have family all over this country and enjoy our trips, even though their too short.
Baby girl and daddy fell asleep the way home and I couldn't help but snap this pic as they both have their heads tilted to the left. It was a wonderful weekend and first road trip for Eloise.
