Ode To Blizzard 2012

*FYI-If your easily nauseated by love and poetry-You might not want to read any farther.

As blustery North winds pelted our house with big, wet, flakes of fluffy snow, we slept long and hard due to the warmth of our blankets and the covering of quiet purity. You could barely see across the street as you looked out our front window and yet, there was something quite beautiful about being trapped inside the house together.   Breakfast was all about the man cooking larger than need be pancakes and smothering them with warm butter and maple syrup. The silence continued during our delectable delicacies because there is no need to speak when your basking in blizzardly love.

We were soon energized and ready to fight the fearsome storm. Bundled up in winter gear from head to toe, we headed out into the cold, cold snow. The tree's branches were heavy with packages glittering in the sunlight while our muscles went to work removing the frosty frigidness.  Our girl Maddie was the only other companion keeping us lighthearted during the solidifying of brilliantly created icicles.

It is times like this that I am overwhelmed by beauty that we seem so quickly to renounce due to the hard work it entails. Like all things in life, some are worth the time, the backbone, and the simplicity of removal.  We are constantly being re-freshened, reshaped, and renewed by the creator of life.
