Franconia 2013

Welcome to Franconia!  A lovely little town in Minnesota that hosts a splendid sculpture park on 20-acres. With a rotating collection of over 95 contemporary sculptures, reflecting the creative talents of local, national, and international artists, the park is free and open to the public 365 days a year, dawn to dusk.

One of the super cool things about Franconia is that you never know when you'll happen upon a sculpture in progress!

Even the bathrooms are festive!

What seems to draw us back again and again is the various states we find the sculptures in, the stories of their wear and tear, the artist unique perspective on recognizable objects, and the adoring company who always graces us with their presence.

Modeling for Omaha Fashion Week

My motto this year: Do  Everything!

So, when an agency for Omaha Fashion Week was looking for individuals to walk for a designer who was short a few models, I just HAD to try it out! Not gonna lie, I was super nervous and constantly thought, "What the heck am I doing???"  BUT, it was a fantastic experience and I'm really proud of the team I worked with.

The designer, Juantiesha Christian for SuShe by J. Tracy, was super fabulous and I LOVE her work! Currently residing in New York, but a Bellvue Nebraska kid at heart, I could really tell she had a sweet soul, but was her own biggest critic. Check out her website at: http://sushebyjtracey.webs.com/

Another Prairie Song

Goldenrod chimes and knee-high wheat whispers, lapping pond water from the muskrats swim, swallows swooping and humming bee's swarm within. Rain barrels trickle from the evenings soft rain, cricket frogs croak on the dry prairie terrain. Just another windy day does the prairies soundtrack play.
